Ducati Monster - 20th Anniversary
The Ducati Monster is a really important part of motorcycling's panorama of recent decades. The machine appeared at the end of 1992 and sparked off a new trend in the so-called 'naked' - in other words, without fairing - segment of the market.
With the Monster, powered by its famous and prestigious L-shaped engine, Ducati offered enthusiasts a bike that combined a comfortable ride with outstanding performance. And the offer was positively received, not only by the Bolognese company's fans. So it is no coincidence that 260,000 Monsters have been sold over the last 20 years, mostly in the United States, France, Germany and Spain as well as Italy. The bike celebrates the 20th year of its presence in the marketplace.
This book covers those 20 years of history, availing itself of a wealth of illustrative material made available by Ducati.

Ducati Mostro, Monster - des 400 cm³ aux 1100 cm³ - 20 ans de modèles d'exception
When Ducati unveiled the Galluzzi Monster at the Cologne Motor Show in late 1992, no one expected it to become Ducati's best-selling model. With its bold styling, minimalist stance and innovative design, the 900 Monster created a new niche in the market.
A multifaceted machine, it filled the gap between racing sports bikes and grand touring bikes, offering a stripped-down blend of the qualities of both. The Monster's radical styling inspired the accessories industry, which proliferated to enhance the performance and alter the look of this unique bike. With displacements ranging from 400 to 1 100 cc, this created a Monster that truly suited everyone's tastes.
This book is a fascinating guide to the sheer number of Monster models produced over the past eighteen years.
