Greyhound Scenicruiser - Flagship of the Fleet

Een bijzondere Amerikaanse intercity touringcar was de Greyhound PD-4501 Scenicruiser. Tussen 1954 en 1956 bouwde de GM Corporation 1001 van deze door Raymond Loewy ontworpen autobussen. Ze bleven rijden tot aan het einde van de jaren zeventig.

Na bijna 60 jaar is de Scenicruiser een cult-symbool geworden, niet in het minst door zijn rol in verschillende films en TV series. Beginnend bij het prototype beschrijft dit boek de ontwikkeling en alle verschillende modellen van de GM Scenicruiser. Ook wordt aandacht besteed aan de exemplaren die nog steeds in dienst zijn, o.a. als museumbus.
