Multiple-units and rail buses - Italy: books - history

Illustrated books on the history, types and technology of the multiple-units of the FS (Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane) and other railway companies in Italy.

ETR200 - Record mondiale di velocità del 20 luglio 1939 con 203 km/h

Eighty years after that memorable day - it was in fact 20 July 1939 when the ETR 212 set the World Speed Record with a speed of 203 km/h - the publisher thought it appropriate to republish a publication issued at the time by the CIFI, relating to that historic event.
The ETR.212, holder of the World Speed Record in 1939, is still in service today: in fact, after having assumed its new name of ETR.232 in September 1963, it was largely restored to its original appearance, becoming an integral part of the FS Foundation Historical Park, to be used for period or celebratory trains.

The volume will be of interest to the many collectors and enthusiasts of the fascinating world of railways, who will now have at their disposal another important testimony to the Italian railway history.
A special thanks to Maurizio Panconesi who, thanks to his archives and his passion for railways, has made this precious publication possible.
The A4-size volume consists of 28 pages + cover with flaps + 4 multi-page folded technical plates.
