La VW Scirocco de mon père
From 1974 to 1981, Volkswagen developed a real range around the Scirocco, a worthy replacement for the Karmann Ghia. For all tastes and all colors, such could be the slogan of this model. From the economical 50 hp engine to the fiery 110 hp GTI/GLI, VW was able to offer its customers a multitude of combinations.
Designed by Giugiaro, this versatile and almost family-friendly coupe with its tailgate and folding rear seats was just as much intended for the sports driver as for the father. Distributed in more than 500 000 copies in 8 years of career, the Scirocco was able to conquer Europe but also the country of Uncle Sam, since more than a third of its production crossed the Atlantic.
During its sporting life, it was the host of the Junior Cup, the German equivalent of the Renault cups.
- Richly illustrated, this book is dedicated to the Volkswagen Scirocco from 1974-1981.
- Retraces in detail the history and evolution of the VW Scirocco coupé, designed by Giugiaro.
- This volume of the "La voiture de mon père" collection is not only a source of in-depth information for the owner, but also a concise guide to originality.
- The technology, variants, modifications and special versions are described in detail.
- Also deals with manufacturing abroad.
- Contains more than 200 period photos, often unpublished.

VW Scirocco & Corrado - Die sportlichen Volkswagen (Schrader Typen Chronik)
The idea of bringing a sports car onto the market came from Golf designer Giorgio Giugiaro. And to underline its sporty, fast character, the car was given the name of an African desert wind: Scirocco.
In the late 1980s, the Corrado was supposed to replace the Scirocco, but was instead offered alongside it.
Joachim Kuch documents the development history of the two sports cars from Wolfsburg. Enriched with plenty of period color in the form of contemporary posters, advertising and brochure material, he describes them with all their technical features.

Das grosse VW-Corrado-Buch (Reprint)
With the Corrado, introduced in 1989, VW managed to move up into the Porsche and BMW league. Competent engineers had developed innovative technologies that gave the Wolfsburg sports car muscle.
After the G-charger model, the new VR 6 with its unusual six-cylinder engine took over the role of the sportiest Volkswagen of all time in autumn 1991, while the series was rounded off at the bottom by a two-litre 16V version.
This volume examines the still young history of the Corrado in all its facets: development, design, technology, production. A retrospective also provides an insight into the tradition of the sports coupé at VW.
A look at the tuner scene and a detailed data section round off the work.
