Staff Cars in Germany - WW 2 (Vol. 2) - Opel (Camera On)
This latest photo-album in the "Camera On" series contains 150 more photographs of private cars adapted for military use by the German forces during WW II. The remainder of the Opel motor company major production types are covered - the car types that were not covered in volume 1 - such as the Opel P-4 that was also used as the basis of many of the pre-war mock-up training tanks used by the German army due to the lack of real tanks to train with. The Opel Kadett (cadet), the Opel Super 6, the Opel Kapitan (Captain) and at the top of the range, the luxurious Opel Admiral.
In this volume the author provides a detailed impression of these vehicles through original photographs, taken both during and before the war by the normal German soldiers who both used and served with these now classic automobiles.

Opel has been building automobiles for more than 125 years. The family-owned company slowly worked its way to the top of German automobile manufacturers until it became a stock corporation and became the property of General Motors in 1929.
In this volume, Alexander F. Storz traces the entire history of Opel. Starting with the Commodore and the Kadett and ending with the Diplomat. With great expertise, he recalls the well-known and lesser-known cars with the lightning bolt in the logo, including trucks and delivery vans, as well as the first successes in the pioneering days of motor sport.
The brand history is rounded off with an overview of Opel miniature models and technical tables for each model.
Opel represents over 150 years of German industrial history. Only a few companies can look back on such an eventful company history. At the same time, Opel has been successfully building cars and commercial vehicles for 113 years. This documentation contains all passenger cars, trucks and special vehicles that were offered by the Opel factory between 1899 and 1951.
For the first time, key data and facts from the company's long history are clearly compiled, prepared and presented in an understandable manner. Each passenger and truck model is documented with pictures and data. The volumes of this vehicle chronicle thus form a reference work that is unique in its variety and attention to detail.
The third and final volume of the "Opel Fahrzeug-Chronik" covers the period from 1991 to 2012. Every vehicle built is described and presented with all technical data, with the authors using only authentic sources. The three volumes of this vehicle chronicle thus form a reference work that is unique in its variety and attention to detail.
