Goliath - Borgward - Lloyd: Pkw im Spiegel der Werbegraphik

Borgward used advertising like no other before and after the Second World War. Informative brochures were a matter of course. In addition, there were advertising postcards, posters, advertisements, flags, customer service signs, glass banners, press kits, traffic advertising, special car shows, trips to Germany and much more.
Peter Michels shows and explains the documents, many of which have never been published before.

Borgward Rennsportwagen: Einsatz und technik

Stuttgart-based motorsport expert Bernhard Völker describes the use of Borgward racing vehicles: from the record-breaking run of the INKA model in 1950 to the competitions on the famous race tracks from 1952 to 1959 and the Formula II World Championship in 1959 with the Cooper-Borgward. There are also portraits of all Borgward racing drivers.

Pages of the book Borgward Rennsportwagen: Einsatz und technik (1)

After Heinrich Völker dealt with the technology in his book "Silberpfeile aus Bremen" in 2004, many tips from contemporary witnesses were received, which are taken into account here. Everything revolves around the bodies, chassis and engines.
The appendix contains detailed tables of the races, the technical data of the vehicles and a chronological overview.

Besser fahren, Borgward fahren 1956: Die Borgward-Chronik

The 1956 volume of the Borgward-Chronik describes a year marked by a decline in almost all sales figures for the Borgward Group. The revision of the automobile program was limited:
- The Hansa 2400 received a complete overhaul with a new 6-cylinder engine of 100 hp. The body appeared longer and more elegant than its predecessor. Nevertheless, sales remained low.
- The Isabella received some minor changes to the bodywork and a renewal of the front suspension.
- The Isabella range was expanded to include the "TS de Luxe" and "Coupé" variants.
- The Goliath Jagdwagen was equipped with a 4-stroke engine (4-cylinder boxer) with 50 hp and tested for the German army, but was rejected in favor of the DKW F91/4 (later known as the Munga).
- The new B 2000 AO proved to be a success, with almost 6 000 orders from the German army.
- Lloyd produced the LP 250 to compete with the Goggomobil and the BMW Isetta, but without success.

The 1956 Chronicle provides detailed information about all of these products. The book offers a lot of reading material, including previously unknown facts. This brings you up to date with Borgward's history. Of course, almost only contemporary photos were used, so you can see exactly what the vehicles looked like and how they rolled off the production line.
