Claas was a "late bloomer" when it came to tractors. The company from Harsewinkel in Westphalia made a name for itself with agricultural machinery, specifically straw binders and combine harvesters. Claas is the market leader in combine harvesters in Europe.
But at the end of the 1990s, the company transformed itself into a full-service provider by taking over Renault tractors, which had not been very successful outside of France.
Clas quickly developed these into its own models, and just as quickly the Renault house colors disappeared from the vehicles and were replaced by the typical Claas green and white.

This reference book presents chronologically all the tractors manufactured by Claas since 1957. Presents the Claas Huckepack, HSG (prototype), Xerion, Celtis, Atles, Ares, Nectis, Arion, Axion, Atos, Elios and Nexos models.
