The book provides a detailed account of the development history of the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, its chassis and artillery components, the ammunition used, and its combat employment.
Introduced into service with the Soviet Army in 1963, the BM-21 Grad became the most widely used rocket artillery system in the world. From the late 1960s, it was also operated by the Polish Armed Forces.
In 2021, Poland operated 98 BM-21 launchers, some of which were transferred to the Ukrainian armed forces in 2022.
The publication also covers the modernizations and further developments of the BM-21 Grad from 1970 to 2022.
