Schützenpanzer Puma: Entwicklung, Technik, Einsatz
NEW
Since 2015, the Puma infantry fighting vehicle has gradually replaced the Marder. It is now regarded as one of the most modern and capable infantry fighting vehicles in the world. Digital systems and full networking, advanced optics, cameras, and sensors allow early detection and engagement of concealed targets at distances of up to three kilometres.
With a weight of about 31 tonnes, increasing to up to 50 tonnes with additional equipment, the Puma offers its crew a very high level of protection against mines, anti-tank weapons, and improvised explosive devices.
This book documents the most modern infantry fighting vehicle in service with the German Army. It shows how the Puma significantly improves protection, firepower, and mobility. The book covers its technical development, testing, weapon systems, and variants.
