Restaurez Réparez votre Cyclomoteur à moteur Vap
Vap is a very French brand that supplied engines, adaptable to bicycles and then to a good number of moped manufacturers in the 1950s. In the middle of the decade, several hundred assemblers bought engines and equipped their machines with them.
Then in 1958, Vap becomes a real moped manufacturer with the Vélo Vap. The latter does not deny its inspiration from the VéloSolex.
The adventure will continue until the dawn of the 1970s with an expanded range, but also many commercial agreements with other brands. Around 1 200 000 engines are produced in around thirty years.
After a brief history of the origins of the make, this book opens the insides of Vapet engines and provides advice on how to restore or repair the cycle part of your moped.
All 48 cm³ engines are reviewed: from the 1940s Vap installed along the rear wheel to the Vap55 and Vap57 engines, including the Vap4. The iconic Vélo Vap has many historical and technical features detailed in this book.
