Cruiser HNLMS Tromp
The Dutch Tromp class of light cruisers consisted of two ships: HNLMS "Tromp" and HNLMS "Jacob van Heemskerck". Both were commissioned shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War.
After the Netherlands and the Netherlands East Indies were occupied, HNLMS "Tromp" was cut off in the Far East. She served mainly in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific. The ship became one of the most decorated Dutch warships of the war. Often reported as sunk, she was known as the "Ghost Ship, " while her crew called her the "Lucky Ship."
This book presents the history, design, and operational service of HNLMS "Tromp".
