During the 1940s Chenard & Walcker developed a van, the CPV, powered by an engine from the Peugeot 202. In 1950 this engine was replaced by that of the 203. Since the same year all these vans have been marketed under the Peugeot name.
With its round shape and small bonnet, the Chenard van was quickly nicknamed by the public 'pig nose'.
