The legendary Unimog has been built at Mercedes-Benz for more than 60 years and there is no end in sight. Based on the Unimog, Mercedes-Benz developed the MB-trac, a powerful tractor that rolled off the same production line as the Unimog from 1972 to 1991.
The book presents a complete chronicle with all models, interesting technology and illustrations, some of which are being published for the first time.

There is no question: forestry work is the Unimog's toughest discipline. And the now legendary Mercedes-Benz vehicle has been proving for 65 years that it delivers the very best performance.
Michel Kaiser has now dedicated a series of books to the Unimogs specially equipped for forestry work. He impressively shows how the Unimog has developed into a highly modern helper for forestry companies over its long history.

The first volume is about logging, sorted by model series. There is also a chapter each about the Uniknick from Werner, the cable crane systems on Unimog and the Hürtgenwald I small-wood harvester.
When illustrating the book, the author was able to draw on a huge pool of first-class, previously unknown photographs.

For more than 65 years, the legendary workhorse Unimog has proven that it is irreplaceable in forestry work. Logging is already documented in detail in the first volume, with the exception of the newer series that are included in this book.

But hauling timber is by no means all that the Unimog has to do in the forest. Paths, areas, forests, buildings, ditches, meadows and properties also have to be laid out and kept in order - and that is what this second volume is mainly about.
Michel Kaiser has once again produced an impressive work, with a wealth of unique, previously unpublished photographs.

L'entreprise Werner de Trèves s'est spécialisée en tant que fournisseur de Daimler-Benz dans les équipements forestiers et les modifications basées sur Unimog et MB-trac.
