Henri Ford et son fils, Edsel, sont définitivement rassurés sur l'avenir de la nouvelle venue : 400 000 commandes sont rapidement enregistrées, et près de 5 millions d'unités passent les grilles de l'usine avant la fin de la fabrication en 1932.
